He's not terribly tense, but he'd rather not go straight home and unload all of the stress from his afternoon onto Nehl if he can help it.
Because Roahn loathes to be late, he wastes no time at the store, knowing precisely where he needs to go to get what he came for and declining any help offered to him along the way. Fortunately, the roads on the way home are a little clearer than they usually would be, which is about the only reason he's thankful for having been held up a little later at work.
Twenty-seven minutes later, Roahn's stepping through the front door of their home, a paper bag in one hand and his keys in the other. He nudges the door closed gently with the heel of his shoe and reaches to hang his keys on the hook just as Zeda wanders out from the living room to greet him, lazily stretching her back legs out, and then both of her front legs at the same time. ]
Look at you, [ He says quietly but fondly, smiling faintly as he bends to pass a gloved hand down the back of her head. She sits and purrs and presses up into the touch before wandering away like she's bored, as most cats are wont to do. ]
